Can't help you with the scripting, but your "Maps" folder is right next to your "Campaign", "Data" "Movies" and "Save" folder in your main "Tropico 2" directory (where you installed your game).
If you still not find it, why not use the explorer search ?
That "Maps" folder contains the maps for the campaign etc., too. So no play without it  Wink

Once you've found the Maps folder, you should see a file called Documentation.txt.  It has the full scoop on how to script.  There are also other reference documents for variables and values.  Or you can download my formatted version from the Blue Parrot here.

For examples of how scripts work, open any of the scenario text files and have a look.  They are in the maps directory, with names the same as the scenario name, but followed with a .txt extension rather than .{}.

It's a full programming language, so it's not for the faint of heart, but if you're into programming, it is very powerful.  Good luck.
