AHHHHHH!!!

ok, so i bought tropico 2 when it first came out back in april or may...i played for a long time then uninstalled about 3 weeks ago.  now i want to play it again, but every time i try to install it, my hard drive makes some funny noise like its trying to read the disc and 2 minutes later i get a message saying "Windows cannot access the specified drive, path or file.  You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the items. "  and i know its not the PC, becasue i installed several other games just to make sure it wasnt the PC

in case anyone needs to know, i have Windows Me, an AMD Athalon 1.2 GHz Processor, ATi Radeon 8700 Video Card and 256 MB of Ram

Sounds like a scratched or bad CD to me. But I'm not sure. It's certainly a bad CD if windows can't even read it, say to list under"My Computer" by name.

If windows can read it, but it is failing DURING install process it could be something else I suppose. But I'm not sure what it would be.

When you uninstalled it, did you use the uninstaller or just throw it in the trash? (delete it).
