 Undecided
I have bought Tropico for Mac after reading on the Apple Games site www.apple.com/games; that Tropico is a Mac OSX game.
I have a dual G4 1.42 Ghz and 1Gb of RAM.
After installing the game and all the patches (1.03?) I started to play; the born again scenario crashes, the random scenario takes ten minutes to load and the figures on screen freeze and move slowly ( all in all this makes the game virtually unplayable).
I have contacted Feral ( tropicosupport@feral.co.uk ) every day for the last 2 weeks and have had no reply. I am based in the UK.
Has anyone had the same problems as me or am I just a minority?
This whole situation really infurates me and I feel I have wasted £35.
What should I do?
I have contacted Apple about my problems and to see if they will stop advertising Tropico, but unsurprisingly I have had no reply.
Any thoughts?

Hey albanwr, welcome to the Cafe, hopefully there may be some information that can help you here. Smiley

Whilst I am no Mac user, I know numerous Mac users have been here and posted, and folks have supplied them with help that resolved their problems.

At this stage my best suggestion is to use the search facility and find all the other Mac user concerns and read them.

To do this:

i) Click the 'search' tab at the top of the page.

ii) click the advanced search option.

iii) Type in the word Mac (can always try apple too).

iv) Scroll down and click on the 'check all' tick box - this will un-tick all the forum sections.

v) Then tick the 'technical questions' and the 'scenario's boxes to activate (search) just these. - Make sure this is for Tropico and not Tropico 2 Pirate Cove.

vi) Scroll down to the bottom and replace the '60 days oldest post' with 720 days.

vii) Open up the search hits to, say, 150.

vii) Hit search.

I have done this myself and found a fair few Mac problems, but as I am not a Mac user I do not presume to know what they relate to. Embarrassed

Hope that helps albanwr.
