Adding a Dictator Picture?

Hi,

Apologies if this has come up before - the search function doesn't seem to want to work for me.

I was wondering how you add a new dictator and picture to the existing set in Tropico Paradise Island. I'm asking because I think it would be interesting to create profiles of other leaders (such as Ho Chi Minh, Josip Broz Tito, etc) and add them in to Tropico.

(I suppose you could just manually do this with one of the generic farmer/etc type leaders, but... not quite the same. )

You will find quite a lot of the good stuff.
To the best of my recollection, your question has come up a number of times with the result that additions to the list (especially the picture which appears only during the set-up routine) are NOT possible without "cracking" the main program. That's a no-no.

However, it is possible to edit permanently (other than the picture) the name and characteristics of those pre-programmed (in your program only, of course). This has the advantage of "saving" a favorite set for your random games without having to set them each time. I don't know if anyone has reported how such "edits" affect the pre-programmed scenarios that are provided on the disks.

Thanks very much for the info I suppose it was a bit much to expect that you could just edit an ini-file or something like that. I look forward to learning much more about Tropico's innards from this forum.
