I hope this doesn't spoil the surprise for anyone, but there are some references to Tropico in RT3.  timp999 already referred to one in the opening video.  And I noticed in one newspaper report a sub-headline: "Captain Kidd's treasure found buried on Tropico".  I guess that would be a Tropico 2 reference.   Wink

Any more that any sharp-eyed players can spot?

Since no one else has, I must post that I just found another one this week.  If you zoom in closely to a movie theater you will see something very familiar.   Cheesy

LOL!  I've been playing RT3 since December.  It was the hints of Tropico that brought me back!  I've reinstalled Tropico on my new PC, and I've played a few games again.

POPTOP RULES!!!

AFAIC, POPTOP can just continue to make new releases for 2 games - Trop and RT3.

Amen.

LOL! - It is welcome sight to see PopTop continue to 'sell' the Tropico brand and good to have you installing Tropico back onto your PC Baccus. Smiley

I wonder if PopTop are 'testing the water' with a view to further expansions? Did you see that? I managed to extract from the most shabby reference to Tropico the hope that the Tropico franchise is alive.

Some might say that is sadly desperate. I prefer to refer to it as a positive frame of mind. Grin

I took that "shabby reference" to be a binding promise from PopTop!    Wink   Imagine a Tropico updated to the level of RT3!!!  WOW!

I've now played Trop, Trop 2, and RT3 on my new Dell in the same week.  This has been a great week!   Grin

hmm....the RT3 board seems empty and distant. no mention of Sid Meier's Railroads (RT4) even. Of course, that game was a flop.
