A Hauler will complete a job even if fired.  You can fire them and they take up a hauler position (or any other job) elsewhere yet will still complete that pick up job they were doing.

This leaves the hauler position open.  Say its a sawmill with two experts sawing away and they are short of wood (less than 20).  You need loads of wood as those experts will saw fast.  Ensure another worker takes up the now vacant hauler position.  That worker, if idle, will now find the nearest timber camp to their current location, and head to pick up a load of wood.

You now have two haulers on wood pick ups.

Repeat as many times as you need to, want to.

Ive created a stockpile of 588 wood at a saw mill in one test games.

A screen shot of a convoy in process. 368 wood has ben delivered and more is arriving.  Notice the cook leaving the sawmill - she was holding down a cook job whilst hauling.  Most of the haulers in view are likewise holding down another job.

It is very funny that you brought this up, because it is a very useful tip for the smuggler's cove in the new scenario I am uploading today, "Supply Base".

Wow, what a great tip Severous!  I knew the haulers would finish their present task before starting a new one but never thought of ganging them up like that.  It figures that captives would be ideal for chain gang work like this.   Cheesy

Had some spare corn in my farms so set up a really big convoy when this new Brewery came on stream.

All delivered now.  The stockpile of corn moved here should keep the cooks busy for the rest of the game.

Think its time for a couple of raids for skilled cooks.
