The focus of this scenario is building & managing efficient production facilities.

I just finished the Supply Base scenario and found it to be a lot of fun even though I had to supress my usual bloodthirsty impulse to loot, rape, and burn. Fortunately I knew the trick of setting up convoys of haulers and managed to get 11 of the 12 assignments without much trouble. I decided to skip the 10000 wood task as 11 of 12 should have qualified me for a gold medal. The program kept telling me I had 11 of 12 but at the end I got a silver medal. I later looked at the script and it looked like I should have got a gold. No biggie but it's curious.

I'm going to try this one next - once I've finished with Shipwrecked.
I like setting out a productive Island best. Embarrassed

You'll love this one then. A large island with plenty of resources and an unlimited supply of skeleton haulers along with a few surprises in the story. What more could you ask? Well in my case that would be the roar of cannons, the clash of swords and the smell of napalm in the morning. Oops, got a bit carried away there at the end. Anyhow, it was a good change of pace but I'm ready to get back to sea for a bit of action.

Hmmm... I'm having a few doubts about how to play this one.
On my first attempt I built all industries and suppliers as soon as possible. Trouble was once the stocks had built up the skeleton hauler for the cove was going here there and everywhere and it felt like he would take a month of Sudays. He was only carrying 3 cutlassess at one point, is that right!!!!
I'm wondering whether I should concentrate on say two commodities at a time. With the end of the supply line very close to the docks, putting as many captives as possible onto the supply lines. Then once these orders were nearly complete, building up the next two raw material suppliers and deleting the previous ones?
Also I'm getting very short of funds, I seem to be gaining a small income but I don't know where from?
Do you get money when you achieve the set tasks or the added tasks?

This one takes a lot of micromanagement. I guess you've found that you have to have a bunch of mines and blast furnaces to keep up with the weapon factories. I set up convoys to move ore to the blast furnaces. As soon as the hauler says "guess I'll go get some ore" you fire him. He'll finish doing the job before he quits. When the next hauler shows up to replace the one you fired you just repeat the process. You do the same thing with the pirate cove. There is no way a single hauler could ever move all stuff so you have to set up a convoy of skeleton haulers.
I hope that explanation is understandable. Severous wrote a better description but I don't remember the title.

As I recall you get paid for what you've delivered at the end of every month. Once you get the convoys going you should be rolling in money. You only get paid for the added tasks when you complete the entire order.
