Favorate Ships

What's your favourate type of ship. I usualy just build tonnes of Schooners because I think sloops get sunk too easily. Also, how quick do you start building big ships (Gallions and Frigates).

I agree Schooner is the best small ship, but I think Brigs are the best overall. Frigates and Galleons are good but not alone. I always try and have at least one other ship cruising with them.

As far as building the bigger ships, you need to build a shipyard instead of the boatyard.

I remember a similar thread here or on one of the other two forums... I agree about the Brigantine. In "late game" phases Galleons and Frigates make good couples. Frigates alone tend to sink too much. So, I would gradually go for Frig + Brig, then Gal + Frig.
