Age is going to rise the longer your game goes on.

14 years into my current sandbox game
- 11 wenching houses
- average age of wench = 28 years 10 months
- youngest is 21 and oldest 39

In a previous sandbox game the average age of my wenches , and everyone else, was 120+ something by the time I called it a day in 1750 (100 years)

Im playing the same test game I was on my last posting - now 20.5 years into it.  Average wench age now in the 30s as expected.

- 12 wenching houses
- average age of wench = 32 years exactly
- youngest is 26  Kiss and oldest 41

I did a lot of having my workers doing more than one job at a time. This has kept the wench age down a bit as inevitably a few younger prisoners take up the wench jobs as the wenchs went off and hauled goods.

Its almost as if wenches move out of the profession into other job as they get older.  Many that developed skill 3 companionship are now farmers.  Out in the pasture  tilling the land with a hoe like this 38 year old.  Smiley

Except for that from Severous, it seems that both T1 & T2 suffer from the programming that assumes that years spent at a job and/or age improve skill no matter the job. In T1 it is almost impossible to fire a 50 year old Show Girl and she attracts customers --- well that's just not the way it should work. Also in T1, in an initial assignment of people - a 40 year old Mother will get babies before a 20 year old Mother. Skill in mothering does not equal skill in procreation.

So if T2 has Wenches moving on to other jobs, it has a more complex program.

I admit it is tough to program the exceptions to a general pattern.

Is it just me, or does 'Age of Wenches' sound like it should be an expansion pack for Tropico 2?   Grin
