Well on my last game I was around 8585. I don't remember my other scores, but my first game was a silver medal.

My hoard score was always 0 is that right? Was I supposed to be stashing money in my palace? I never even checked that until the last couple games to see how many guards I had.

Cheers,
FD

Just played it for the first time, had 2 captains, 3 ships and a GOLD medal score of 9195. Smiley

In the demo you can't build the structure that allows you to accumulate your own hoard (skull cave).

So we can hoard in the full game. Thanks for the info!

I had a pretty good score but lost when my only ship went down.  I'm about to try again!

I just had a game with the average pirate happiness of 76%. 30 pirates, Score was 8313. I think building more gambling dens rather than animal pits help as the pirates can drink and gamble and raise two scores at once. Of course I had over 150 captives, the most I ever had and it was tricky to manage all of them.

Thanks muttbunch!

The last three games I was shooting for the highest happiness score. The other two scores were 60% and 67%.

I think I've played the demo enough now. I would have wished they left out the save feature and allow the continue playing feature in. It's very frustrating getting most/all of your building just completed and the game ends.

I know I am grateful there was a demo at all, but it works both ways. I probably would not have bought the game otherwise and missed out on some great fun. I'm telling everyone I know to try the demo/buy the game. Grin

I was a bit worried that they released the demo too early and that players would get bored and frustrated with its brevity. That's why I asked Charlemagne whether a second demo would be released a little closer to the ship date. He said no promises, but that they would consider it. So I'm still hopeful.

Anyway, I have it on good authority that the full game is much more satisfying than the beta demo (games are much longer, for one thing), so I don't think you have anything to fear from recommending the game to anyone. I'm doing the same thing  Grin

Another demo would be wonderful! Crosses Fingers...

I'm glad to hear the games will be longer. I agree that some might be put off by the shortness of the demo in its current state.

Here's to hoping!

This is my highest scoring game so far.  I got one that was higher by just a couple hundred, but it was bronze medal.

Just for fun I went back into the game to where I had saved it in November '63, and pressganged all my working captives and ransomed all the wealthy ones.  This was my score for that game.

I've been waiting for comments of that sort, or Homer Simpson references.

Hi,

this one is with 122 pirates/127 prisoners.
Watchtowers for the prisoners, Davey Jones and lots of free beer and festivals for the pirates Grin
makes 13177 points. The former construction teams have been press ganged by October 1653.

Yeah, pretty strange, Duisburg is just 50 kilometers away from my birthplace. Never knew I had a cousin there...
