Welcome to the Forum.

Ive always thought the number of trade routes would be about the same.  Maybe vary from scenario to scenario depending upon what the designer wanted. But overall no particular bias towards one country or another.

Thinking back over the last few ive played - which of course will be influenced by the scenarios played - Ive had more Spanish.  But then I dont cruise/explore much so its a very small sample.

hey Severous,  for my games, there seems to be only 3 trade routes, one for each power, but every now and then there is a chagne in  my trade routes.
