Hello...im playing my best game ever.  I got over 10million and I been playing this pecific game for 180 years.  But im at a dead spot here.  I cant get people to work at my educated jobs.  They go to school but when they graduate they go back to the farming jobs.  They dont go to the educated jobs

I have around 20 policeman jobs open * paying 18 a month*  I have 12-15 hospital jobs open * paying 26 *  and about 10 church jobs open * paying 18*  and around 7-9 Cathedral jobs open paying 26.  These jobs has been open for years and years ( around 10 years for most of the policemen jobs)  They go to highschool / college but they dont go to a educated job.  Can someone tell me a trick or something to do here?  Its causing me to loose my elections and every election I have to give a tax cut , and other happieness edicts to stay in power.  Please help.  THANKS Angry  Also I got a population of a tad bit over 1200

I've never played any game beyond about 50 or 60 years iirc, so can't speak from experience on this one. Nonetheless;
  • How do your salaries compare to the Caribbean avarage? Perhaps they're just miles too low, and somehow you're being penalised?
  • Skilled Workers Welcome as an immigration policy may help to fill the gaps quicker than trying to encourage locals to take up the jobs.
  • Parochial Education may direct some college graduating males into Cathedral positions.
  • The Communists won't like it, but you can push educated wages much higher, which will lead to a position of greater wage discrepancy, but again, may have the effect of job switching upwards.
  • Micromanagement hell ... fire those educated workers in blue collar jobs, closing off all other employment options other than educated positions. Use the Almanac - Lists - Education area to pinpoint your targets.
Not sure if you've tried these, but hopefully they may be of use.

I havent tryed the firing of educated people non educated jobs so I will do that.

Also I pay educated workers  $ 1 over the average.  And the college about $8 over the average * $28 *  and the average is $16.  I pay my non educated $15  I think sinse highschool pay in my island is $17 and $18 they dont wanna bother with working for $2 more.
