Hey, I was up for election recently, and was definatly going to lose, so I shot my opponent. He was then replaced, so bam for him. And then there was a new replacment. Etc. Is this a bug? I haven't patched yet, so is it fixed?

Well of course he was replaced. Much as George Bush and Tony Blair should be shot they'd only be replaced probably by someone just as bad so I'm afraid political assasinations are mostly self defeating.
