Game Speed question

I keep my game speed set on very fast.  Is that not a good idea?

It depends entirely on your personal playing style.

I personally enjoy watching my island develop at "fast", which is just slow enough to catch all aspects of Tropican life, ot at "normal".

Others, who micromanage extensively may prefer "normal" or "slow".

Those that just wish to set up a flourishing island may play at "fast" or even "very fast".

You will also find that different speeds bring you to take different decisions.

i use very fast or paused

I use very fast most of the time too unless there is something I'm watching.  It helps make construction seem not so slow.

I use very-fast all the time, unless I have it paused to build.

the only time i pause is to exterminate a faction.

I used to never play anything but normal speed, but after I really started scripting and playtesting my (still flawed) scenarios, I began to play at very fast.  I like it now, although I do pause if I am constructing anything new or enacting any edict...
