Do I need to install Tropico in order to use eventadd/get just to compile a scenario?

Nope. Those are completly standalone utilities that don't require Tropico on the PC that you're running them from. Also, the downloadable file containing the utilities is simply a self-extracting ZIP (WinZip) format archive, and doesn't even need to be installed, simply extract the files to a directory on your hard drive -:)

Hehe actually, frequently I build up and sell what I like to refer to as "el-cheapo budget PCs" <LOL> out of spare parts, but unfortunately the shipping would negate the cheap price of the PC <G>.

When I say "budget", I mean BUDGET... usually nothing faster than a 400-500Mhz CPU or so <BG>.
