Uninstall

Someone who has PI please tell me if you can uninstall it once installed and if that actually works?

Sorry Madam,
but I do not understand what you mean. I uninstalled it once. But then, of course, it didn't work anymore. Because it was deleted from my hard disk. Or what do you mean? You cannot uninstall PI without uninstalling Tropico, too. I had to install both, Tropico AND PI, again.

I meant if I uninstall PI do I get the original Tropico back? Or do I have to do a full uninstall and reinstall?

Hmm...yeah you answered that, uninstalls both...oh well no biggie, just wondering.

Yeah, because they named the main executable tropico.exe even in the expansion, when you uninstall, it's gone, you need to reinstall Tropico, and if you wish PI.

I fortunately read the forums first, and renamed my tropico.exe to original_tropico_flavor.exe prior to installing PI, so if I want to play original tropico, i should be able to.

So many details, so little time.

Doubt that'll work. The whole game isn't in the Tropico.exe. (I hope!) There's other files involved  and I don't think you'll be able to go back.

Hi Prezidente,
it will NOT work. I tried that, too. Once you have installed TPI, Tropico is gone. You may find it interesting to read my discussion about that with BreakAwayMac. It's in the thread *no chance to play Tropico after PI installation*.

Yeah, sorry, thats where i got my info.  I was under the impression that if you saved the original tropico.exe that you could go back or atleast play tropico again if you saved the original tropico.exe.  Thus it involved me to believe that if you saved the original tropico.exe that you could still play tropico and not pi.
