I too had a coup with one general doing all the shooting. It took three soldiers to bring him down. He killed one before he himself was shot. The wife the soldier who was shot was, if I remember correctly, a bureacrat.

You have to watch your generals closely, especially if you are educating them yourself....

When they first leave college, they will have a wage of zero, and therefore be very unhappy with their wage-level until they receive their first few monthly paychecks.

I have had generals graduate from college and immediately coup because of low wages.

outnumbered two V one, i thought I was dead. the two enemy soldeirs fired, and both missed, then, one was killed in a second, and then, the other soldeir either decided that presidante wasn't so bad after all,or was shot too.

Tropico 3 - YES!

Usually my disloyal soldiers never want to carry the coup out. I have had a coup 46 VS 39, the disloyal ones lost 2 members and then I got a message that said the coup was crushed. Overall, it really isn't since the disloyal members become rebels when the coup is over so after the coup I gained 37 rebels...

My second attempt at Fruitas, I had two soldiers, and they both rebelled.  The was only 10 years into the game, so I had no police.  I wasn't sure what I could do.

I beat Fruitas next time out.

With formal systems, such as mathematics, you can have certainty and demonstrability, but not reality.
With science, such as physics, you can have reality and demonstrability, but not certainty.
