Goodbye www.cafetropico.com

It makes me a little sad to announce that the original Cafe Tropico domain of www.cafetropico.com will expire on August 13, 2005.     I have decided not to renew it at this time (unless someone convinces me otherwise), since it is not really necessary with the site at Strategy Planet and was just used for redirecting and for dead storage.  But it still gets about 2 MB of traffic per day.     I'm reluctant to let it go after 5 years of history, but can't justify the $18 to $25 per year anymore.

So if anyone is interested in having the domain name for themselves, you're welcome to it.     And if your links still point to the old site, better update them now.

Or send the topic to yourself. Save it and you can reclick it to enter. I find this to be the most expedient. You don't have to put up with the side-scroll bar on the left. That is, the one that says, The Cafe, News stand, etc.
This bar does take up space.

Hmm, seems like I started a rumour of the death of the Cafe that has been greatly exaggerated.     No, the Cafe Tropico forum and main site are not going to disappear.  Just the old original domain and redirect site.  Looks like I need to clean up the main page as well since it was never intended to be a frame for the forum.  Sorry about that.

That forum frame thingee never stays logged in for me, so I never use it. I always click the "forum" link on the left, which brings up the forum without the frame.

Yes, it would be nice to get rid of the forum on the main page.

I had not noticed that it was appearing there all the time instead of "News of the Day" since I so rarely go to the main page. I link directly to the forum.
