Women, women, women

Before I get to my suggestion, let me say that this is a terrific game. The first time I saw it in the store, it didn't interest me...I was shopping for Myst 3. Anyway, a couple of weeks later I was cleaning out my computer room and ran across some old Computer Games magazines from last year. On the cover of one was Tropico. So I read through the article before going to sleep and got so excited about the game that I wished it was 2 pm and not 2 am so I could go right out and get it.  :-)

Ok so my first suggestion is that they should have kept the prostitutes. Let's face it, cabarets and brothels are two very different things. (LOL) I understand why they changed it, but I do hope they will add them in the expansion pack. (ohh please, please let there be an expansion pack)

My other suggestion is that there should be more careers available for highschool and specially college educated females. Unless I have some other pressing need, I usually keep my immigration policy at "skilled workers welcome" and I like to pay them well. The result is dozens of college educated women working in farms. And this, of course, makes them very unhappy with their jobs which in turn brings overall happiness down. Anyway, I think soldiers, police, doctors, professors and, maybe even, bankers should be open to female workers.

Those are 2 of my ideas let me know what you all think. :-)

Good suggestions... though I usually have the opposite problem. I have no trouble employing educated women as journalists and power plant engineers. I don't need lots of generals or professors, though, and need only so many bankers.

By the way, it seems as if all your threads are showing up twice. Perhaps you're reloading a confirmation page after posting or something?

In the game world, cabarets are brothels. The name change is for the ESRB rating. In many other threads, the hardware\software limitations on avatars for dual gender occupations are explained.
