THE ELECTION BOOTH
Welcome to the Election Booth. Since Tropico is a Republic, people are allowed to vote freely. Come here to vote on matters that require your thought. Sometimes you will be voting on who should be President or Vice President, it could be on a law, a constitutional amendment, or maybe even something fun that we need to know about you. So, step into the booth and cast your vote. Every vote counts!

Seeing as the UTN's main headquaters is on Tropico, I'll apply for citizenship here.Note I'll make frequent trips to Enrosia though, at least once a week!

I am a citizen of Enrosia (Presidente, more like it) but I would like to make frequent trips to Tropico to see what's happening.
Just keep your journalists away from me, Seth.
So, I'll apply for Tropico citizenship. And a UTN Passport.

The following a a draft of Tropico's Criminal Law. Please read it and offer your input. I will allow today, tomorrow and possibly several more days if needed for discussion and proposed changes. After this, the final version will be put to a vote.
Criminal Law of the Republic of Tropico
Article 1: Justice and Law Enforcement
The Ministry of Justice is the sole agency responsible for enforcement of the laws outlined in Article 4 of this document. The Minister of Justice is the final authority in determining the guilt, or lack thereof, of any person accused under Article 4.
Article 2: Presidential Pardon
The President of the Republic of Tropico posesses the right to grant a pardon to any person convicted of a crime under Article 4. Presidential Pardon prevents the beneficiary from suffering the punishment he or she was convicted to. However, Presidential Pardon does not overturn the criminal conviction. A pardoned person is still considered guilty of the crime he or she was convicted for.
Article 3: Punishment
The Ministry of Justice is entitled to administering the following punishments to persons convicted of crimes under Article 4:
a. Issuing a fine under $100 to a convicted person to be paid to the treasury of Tropico. (Money added to treasury using an EXACTO code) b. Firing a convicted person from his or her present job. c. Evicting a convicted person from his or her government-owned place of residence. d. Issuing a fine over $100 to a convicted person to be paid to the treasury of Tropico. e. Imprisoning a convicted person in a regular security prison. (Imprison Edict) f. Imprisoning a convicted person in a high security prison. (Capture Edict) g. Administering capital punishment to a convicted person. (Eliminate Edict)
Article 4: Criminal Code
The Ministry of Justice may prosecute and convict persons of crimes outlined below. Only the highest penalty is listed below, however, the Ministry of Justice may also apply penalties from Article 3, preceding the highest penalty listed here.
a. Impeding the flow of people or goods. Penalty: eviction.
b. Publicly taking part in drunken behaviour, commiting vandalism, or disturbing the peace: up to eviction.
c. Destruction of public property or private property of another person: up to imprisonment.
d. Littering or polluting: fine under $100.
e. Indecent exposure: fine under $100.
f. Posession or sale of narcotics, except by licensed medical professionals under an indepenently verified prescription: up to imprisonment.
g. Soliciting, organizing or taking part in prostitution: up to imprisonment.
h. Fraud, theft, robbery, or posession of stolen property: up to imprisonment.
i. Assault (except by military personnel following lawful orders or police officers in the line of duty): up to imprisonment.
j. Money laundering or embezzlement: up to imprisonment.
k. Inciting violent or disorderly behaviour: up to imprisonment.
l. Belonging to a criminal organization: up to a fine over $100.
m. Murder (except by military personnel following lawful orders or police officers in the line of duty): up to capital punishment.
n. Treason or espionage: up to capital punishment. Should this Code of Criminal Law, written by our Minister of Justice Privateer0, be accepted as Tropico's final code of law? PLEASE VOTE ON WHAT YOU THINK.

yes, I have a new voting matter.... MINISTER WAGES Please be reasonable, and for the sake of the New Tropican Economy, please vote on a range of pay you(Ministers) would like to earn. Just for comparing purposes, a farmer makes $6 a month, $72 a year(LOWEST PAY) and a doctor makes $12 a month, $144 a year (HIGHEST). Please do not think that you are "better" then the people of Tropico because, virtually speaking, you are all equal. PLEASE VOTE ON YOUR CHOICE! NOTE: Jakius Ceaser, you can vote as you will get the same pay as the Ministers. Capitaligous, SORRY, you are just a citizen not getting Tropican Minister pay, therefore you cannot vote.
