Okay, as of right now, here is my estimation of what I feel we should do, economy-wise:
1- Fire 4 Construction Workers, close the slots, and get them employed in a Farm. Of, if there are less than 4 Farming jobs open, just fire as many as it takes.
2- If we still have more Farm slots open, fire 2 Teamsters, and close the slots to get them employed in a Farm. If Farming is full, put whoever is left at the dock.
3- Raise uneducated pay to $6 Pesos.
4- Raise all rent so that it is 1/3rd of monthly income.
5- Raise all prices so it is no more than $6 Pesos.

That should do for right now. Once El Meck comes up with his part of the economic outlook, I can come up with a budget on how to go about that, as well as allowing El Presidente to still hit my point-by-point system he asked me to develop.

Well, I hate to do it, but I'm gonna have to throw a wrench in your system, Mr. Eastwood. Undecided
No farm slots are open. No construction slots are open. No teamster slots are open. No dockworker slots are open (as of '55).

The only slots that ARE open are the palace guard postions (3 open).

So I suppose #1 & #2 will have to be revised, or you'll have to work with El Meck on getting new jobs started.  Undecided

However, #3 & #4 are APPROVED & DONE.

and, what do you mean by "prices" in #5? Do you mean entertainment fees?

I think we should use the  http://tropico.strategyplanet.gamespy.com/cafe/index.php?topic=9842.0 THREAT for DEBATES

my economic suggestions can also be found there  Wink Smiley

A new and improved map with extra regions. I will however change them when I get a chance to combine it with El Mecks plans for plantations. When this new map comes, the borders will be shifted around new developments , pending approval of course.

PS. Yes one of the regions is called Mecklenburg!

Nothing new from your Minister of Finance, El Presidente. You have enough on your plate to deal with as it is. It's my opinion we should get caught up before discussing anything else that isn't of vital importance.

Yeah, you're right.

Tropico's current pace is about 2 years ahead of Enrosia, so we need to pick up the pace in the last years in the fifties.
