What for is this: " PARLIAMENT INTERSESSION" Parliament Intercession is when all senators (ministers) don't come to discuss/suggest until the specified date. However, since we have two islands, you're not fully let off the hook.

New York City, truely one of the greatest cities ever! And this coming from a conservative. There is so much to do there, the people are nice (surprisingly), and the city itself looks good. I stayed in a hotel in New Jersey, then went to NYC each day. While I was there I spent time in Times Square, went on a tour of the Radio City Music Hall, went through Rockefeller Plaza and center, saw the Lion King on Broadway, went to the TODAY show (not fun though since it was 25 degrees and snowing), and went on a river cruise around Manhattan (which the guide was VERY stupid, but his stupidity provided entertainment). A few examples include: "well here is where Orville and Wilbur first flew their plane", "the United Nations, or Diplomatic Empire", "here is the Brooklyn Bridge, now you may wonder why it is a bridge...", "this is where the Revolutionary War started", "there on Wall Street, over there on Wall Street, here on Wall street, oh and that is Wall Street....", just to name some. We also went on a tour of the NBC studios, went to the Top of the Rock, and much more! To end the trip we went on a tour of the whole island of Manhattan and went to Brooklyn. There is a lot more to the trip, but this is the Tropico Updates page, so this could be taken else where....
PARLIAMENT BACK IN SESSION...

It's good to see someone can enjoy the city. Everytime I go to New York the only thing I can think about is when I'm leaving lol.

I am rrreeeaalllllyyyy sorry! So much for April 2, but here is the update... TROPICO 1962-1963In 1962 the economy had a huge boom, the country made more than twice as much as it usually does due to farming. In 1963 the economy went back to "normal". Therefore, I would not consider the economy to be worse in '63 but instead in a normal growth state and not a one year boom. The immigration center and college were completed. Two professors were called to the island. Other things that were built were the hotel, four houses, another clinic, a bank, and a scenic outlook. A beach "shack" is in line to be built. There was an election in 1962 and I won the vote 75 to 55. In the last picture, the area next to the clinic and scenic outlook, I want to ask what would be the best thing to put there...Housing? Some entertainment? A cathedral? Or one across the "street" from the area? Once we get a few more buildings along the ocean front then we can work on roads and beautification in that area.

Hrmm, it's been a while so I don't remember the score for everything, but last I can recall our farming efforts where up above par, so I think we should focus on mining and imporving that. That's all from me for right now.

I saw you build a Hotel right beside the Apartment buildings. And i don't like the development of hotel room fees. So i got a nice idea that will be positive for the tourists and moreover our people. A boulevard with nice fountains, plants and so on...(see my edited pic ) and thanks for the save game

Tourism? Already?! Are you sure we've got the money to pay for all of the attractions that will have to be built for the isle to get a decent Tourism Rating?

Yeah, something close to a "boulevard" will be made Meck, I think the hotel will bring in a decent constant cash flow for the growing economy. For a hotel, we will have lower and middle class tourists, so the restaurant, pub, and soon to be beach front and scenic outlook will be good starts....I can monitor and give reports on the hotel if you would like me to. If it is hated, we can burn it to the ground...

I think tourism would be good for our people. We have enough venues, I would think, to entertain a 50% occupancy. It would fill them up, but still leave room for Tropicans to relax after a hard days work. This would also be extra income that we could throw towards improving our tourism sector of our economy. It will also help fill the bank to lessen the burden and finacial hit our economy will take once we move past light industry into heavy industry. This also has me thinking that I am gonna apply for a 2nd post, so check out the application office Seth: http://tropico.strategyplanet.gamespy.com/cafe/index.php?topic=11090.0
