9.4 - The Economy of Factory Processing
By: Dreamweaver Read Original Post: The economy of factory processing
This section evaluates the profit per person per year involved in getting a finished goods to ship.
On average, 2 factory workers can handle the output of 3 farmers. Certain factory enhancement may change the ratio and I try to take that into account when possible.
The following numbers posted is the average profit per person per year. For example, it takes 3 farmers, 2 factory canners to make 1.8 canned pineapples per year. The profit per person in this case will be the price of 1.8 canned pineapple divided by 5.
The numbers:
Product Profitability |
Product |
Profit per Person per Year |
Canned Pineapple |
$540 |
Spiced Rum |
$900 |
Freeze Dried Coffee |
$1500 |
Machine Cigars |
$1200 |
Lumber |
$900 |
Fine Jewelry |
$1800 |
|
You can see that coffee is the most profitable crop if you can get it up and running.
Getting an airport operational can really ramp up your profit. With that envoy edict, you can boost the price (and profit) of coffee, pineapple, cigar or rum up by 60%.
