Once the king of all trolls. Ahead of his time. Who is this man? What became of him? And why did he mysteriously disappear?

Before his fall into trolldom Stibbons was a simple forumite who loved all things Nintendo. Scholars dispute at what point Stibbons embarked on the personality change that would mark his destiny. Some point to the fractious Shenmue debate, in which diff-chan brutally savaged Sega's bloated opus. Stibbons was never quite the same after that. Others say the steady decline of Nintendo as a major video game maker since the N64 period caused Stibbons to lose his faith, turning him in a cynical, embittered troll.

By 2002 Stibbons had cast aside his Bowser avatar and replaced it with a photo of Bill Lumbergh (played by Gary Cole) from Office Space. It accurately reflected his newly cynical persona. Stibbons disappeared at roughly the same time omfgninjas surfaced, claiming his mantle as TNL's favored troll. Some TNL historians suspect a connection between these two events.
