The Adventures of Atlas and Advocate is a Newbery Award-winning graphic novel by Dolemite. It chronicles the real-life story of Advocate, a man raised in the wilderness of New Jersey, experiencing the outside world only through hardcore pornographic films. The story begins when Atlas, a young cockney woman from the gutters of London, brings him to New York, and follows Advocate's struggles to come to terms with the outside world for the first time. Film rights to The Adventures of Atlas and Advocate have been optioned by New Line, and it is rumored that Kate Winslet and Boris Karloff are attached to play the leads.
