In 2011, a cache of prototypes from 1982/83 was given to Robbert Jansen, administrator of the Videopac.nl forum. One proto, labeled Terrahawks turned out to be a totally different game than the Terrahawks that was actually released in Europe. In 2013, Classic Consoles Center created a cartridge reproduction of the prototype game, titling it Terrahawks: The Second Assault and assigning it Videopac #70. The game debuted at Eurocon/Retroevent in Elst (Netherlands) on October 26, 2013. It became generally available on November 4, 2013. A total of 100 cartridges, manuals and box inlays were produced, with cover art by Robbert Jansen. It originally sold for 29 Euro. Videopac boxes were not available.

This game is PAL only. It is unplayable on NTSC Odyssey² machines. The intro screen and playfield display correctly on Odyssey², but the game freezes when the joystick is used. As explained by Dieter König in this forum post:

The game uses so many instructions at that point, that the processor is still busy with calculations when the next Vsync interrupt occurs. Normally the processor pauses for a while before the next Vsync, but when the joystick is used there is no pause anymore, so the processor can't catch up. So for NTSC consoles the shorter duration of the Vblank is not the main problem, but the total number of CPU cycles per frame.
