Test Scenario 2 is sent without error on the first attempt. That brings me down to one remaining test - on the initial cycle. One item which I just came to discover now, and have no idea how I missed all this time, is that my Form 1040 programmed the exemption amount at $3700 and not $3800. Yesterday, after writing the post, I had a successful test transmission of a return with a form that is totally new this year (Form 8958, which states the separation of liability for items amongst married spouses). Having the completion of last year's content has helped tremendously, so times like these where I tread new waters is always a bit apprehensive.

Most of today has been spent in Diablo 3 with the new 107 patch. No Nat's set nerf, so I'm still in for now. This consumed most ...

It appears that I forgot to make a post yesterday.

Yesterday, I was focusing on getting a new test return submitted before the end of the day, for which I was able to get an error free result after one attempt. I should see to doing the same today before retiring for the night, then double down on work tomorrow to ensure that I can get an official full review by Thursday.

I was thinking about making these posts on a weekly basis while I'm doing tax work and not trying ...

Form 1040 Schedule A is done. I don't know how I managed to skip over coding it when I was going through the Publication. It's simple enough regardless. Yet again, I realize all too late that some scripts I left behind in a separately labeled "common" text file would have helped me go a bit faster. Oh well.

Working on a test submission last night required me to include a Form 8863 for the educational credits. 11 errors are reduced to 2, then to this lone remaining issue which only arose after everything else was resolved:

Seven of sixteen 1040 test returns are done. Most of them are the easy ones, yes, but it's good to get them out of the way first so that any dumb errors that I make initially can be ironed out. The mission today was to get a heart shaped pizza from a local place which sells them. Two years ago, we arrived at the restaurant too late. Last year, we inquired about the pizza, placed our order, and had a normal circular pizza delivered to us instead. I was at the parent's place to do some maintenance. I have some torrents running on their machine now, seeing as how they always have computers on but use them infrequently at best, so that's no better place for me to have some things run in the background and build up ratio. The only issue is that the machine which they have directly hooked to the modem is a now ancient XP tower that takes a considerable amount of time to reboot and perform any task. Finally have 1040SS done and quickly got 4868 wrapped last night, and 9465 should shape up quickly here. I think I might be able to begin testing by the end of this week.

I think the weekend has wore me out, as I had little energy for songs today.

Last night I had a dream that I had a kid (no pregnancy, no labor) just an infant that came from no where. I didn't really want it, but my mom talked me into it. I was also swayed by the fact that it looked like me.

Worked for the entire day and still can't get 1040 SS PR finished yet. It is close, and I took the extra step of importing a worksheet from the instructions which I didn't have to do, but it's something which is good to have done for future years.

And I still have to exercise before it gets too late, so I better hop to it.

2013 concludes with me sitting here in the basement writing this as my wife sleeps upstairs, as she was too tired to stay up past 10PM. She hasn't made it to midnight on any given day in a rather long time, so this is no surprise.
