Well, long story short, I've had a hemorrhoid flare up sometime between last night and this morning. Rather unpleasant. Some aspirin and increased water intake seems to help for now, but it was an unexpected distraction for my day. I'll look into getting some Metamucil tomorrow to help with fiber intake for the time being.

Hooray for getting old.

My arrangements have been made and complete, and I now have access to the new BMS of Fighters 2012 set.

Let's ...

Before getting to D3 last night, I sent a note off to the IRS in respect of that math issue. Hopefully they respond to it soon. The Form series which I'm working on for it is the 2011 TY set, and in researching the Publication to ask the question, it appears that the 2012 TY set uses the same exact test scenario information. While that's good in one respect for me, as it makes it substantially easier to get approval for that year once I have 2011 down, it does make me wonder why something like this ...

I need to shower to get realigned for the rest of the night and get some work done.

There's something not adding up right on my Form 1120 based on what the figures are in the text example, and the text example's calculated total versus what the actual total is. The test example totals appear to be "wrong", and in one case I can see a specific single line value being omitted from calculation. The problem is that I don't understand why this is the case, and I need to research ...

Nothing to really comment upon for today. Had a shorter shift of seven hours, which helped keep my spirits up as well as permit me to have enough energy to get my treadmilling down for the day, which is something that I haven't done nearly as frequently as normal on these last few weeks when I've had all nine hour shifts.

I'll be looking to roll with folks in D3 in a bit while listening to the NPR Sunday night set.

I think that some time ago I made mention here about a set of walkie-talkie radios which I purchased to be used while at work, on account of the fact that nobody in the store could find a way to ensure that any radios designated for us as Store Use were properly maintained and stored to ensure that we always had them. So with one pack of Form 1120 test files down and all combined nicely, it's time to move on to Test 2 which is the consolidated corporate return. There is an instance return included in the XSD schema files that you obtain from the IRS for doing this - and as a pure text file, it has 26 megabytes of content. My schedule for the upcoming work week has been adjusted and thankfully I have a few days with reduced hours by starting later in the day. Every time I update a form for use in my 1120 Software, it kicks the file size up by an entire megabyte. Insignificant in and of itself, yes, but it's quite ridiculous that a 7 page PDF file with some scripts and XSD binding in it can take up 17MB of data, particularly considering if I were to just start fresh and copy everything over to a new template it probably wouldn't exceed a meg. I don't do it because I don't know if the form is truly finalized yet, and won't until I get some test submissions ...

Time to test things out.

It all depends on what my teammate / friends say. If it sucks, then I need to have the maturity and resolve to be done with it.
