  1. LB log - 2017 Week 15

What a relief to have this week transpire without anything particularly interesting to happen in it.

I ordered a PC and it came in this Thursday. Maybe I'll have time to set it up and make sure it works tomorrow before work, as I have a late start that day. Considering the equipment it has I think the price of $130 was very acceptable. I'll be looking to put it to good use. In related news, my curiosity to see if it was available led me to quickly purchase two names. A similar name ...

  2. LB log - 2017 Week 14

The roof is done. I don't need no water either, but I'd also like to not see the mother fucker burn. Now that I've typed that, look forward to me reporting on a meteor strike next week. Or an appliance that sparks up and spreads.

Her car took $700 this week. They didn't catch the ignition last time. I guess that's how cars are, where you can't really do too much in the line of preventative maintenance outside of the typical things and stave problems off before they arise.

  3. LB log - 2017 Week 13

After a lot of time without doing anything, I've started to make some serious research and initiative steps into some side projects that I've had in mind, one of which I've mentioned long ago but never had much faith in being anything worthwhile to do. The variances in my body's physical condition is making me realize that I cannot stay driving for the remainder of my working days. I'll crack like a fragile pane of glass.

This weekend had a lot of necessary home repairs get done. ...

  4. Prototypes Found: Rolling Thunder 3 (arcade) & DC Vs. SNK (arcade)

Two prototypes for the arcade have been found. The first two Rolling Thunder games did appear in arcades, but not the third. Unless you count a 1993 location test.

Rolling Thunder 3's prototype was about completed and was ready to ship if it had done well at loketest. Namco had some of their System 2 board sets left over when they decided to move the Final Lap series to System R for its next game. Unfortunately, fighting games were stiff competition for most other genres at

  5. LB log - 2017 Week 12

Cats are assholes, right? So it's said? Aloof and unaffectionate, right? Well, what happens if that's the kind of thing I want and don't get instead? I only have two days off of work if I allow myself that luxury. I'm away from the house 65 hours per week otherwise. I'm the only person awake during night hours. This cat wants me to interact with him the entire time I'm home and awake on my days off. I feel like I should be doing other things but I keep petting the cat, and getting pestered by the ...

  6. LB log - 2017 Week 11

This week, it is the garage door opener which is in revolt. I suppose I should have been more proactive in making adjustments to it while it was refusing to close after the foundation settlement caused the ground surface to be uneven and seemingly rise. Welp, $500 lesson learned there I guess, or however much it turns out to be. Post script: The lesson turned out to be $200. The opener was merely repaired, and not replaced. It's probably just as well to do it this way for the sake of expedience, ...

  7. LB log - 2017 Week 10

Hello, new roof. Goodbye, five thousand dollars. It was due, and hopefully getting it done now will circumvent any real damage from ever coming in. Here's hoping that the job is actually completed before something catastrophic does actually come.

I managed to find some time to associate with another human being in the course of my free time on the day before. It was a refreshing experience. Since we were there last, the arcade has had yet anoter room open up. I was able to play Warzard ...

  8. LB log - 2017 Week 09

On the second day off of work this week I took a moment to review some past entries here, both in recent weeks and years past. I seem to be complaining about my physical status rather frequently lately. The start of this week didn't help matters with my right shoulder getting a pinch towards the end of the day as I struggled with closing a container door. I guess I need to accept this as part of normal operation for the moment. Meanwhile, I decided to take both days off in light of the forecast, ...

  9. LB log - 2017 Week 08

    Hi, Raquel.

Saturday morning's work day ended with a fun task. The trailer I brought into the rail yard had lettering which didn't match the identification it was given on the internal billing statement. In order for me to be allowed to park the trailer there, I had to take a marker to put the correct letters on there as well as find a way to conceal the original incorrect letters. Despite dropping the trailer and pulling around to have the noses as close to each other as possible, ...

  10. LB log - 2017 Week 07

This week's non-work days was a manifesto in completely awful time management. My parents gave a pair of tickets for my wife and I to see a local theater production. Scheduled at 8PM. We went and it was enjoyable enough, despite the sometimes extremely loud volume of audio and brightness of some strobe flashes, not to mention the drunken family seated behind us who refused to stop saying the first thing that entered their addled minds at every putrid breath. To do something interesting while in ...

  11. LB log - 2017 Week 06

She's at a birthday party now. It will be strange to eat dinner before work and not have her be here.

I drove by the old home today. It's still serving its original function. Prokop's is a tax preparation place now. I didn't have much else to go on because I came up to it by an approach which wasn't how we came there years ago, so there's barely much of anything that I can remember, but it still seems like so much has been wiped out.

This week would have worked out ...

  12. LB log - 2017 Week 05

11 months to go until 2018.

Say it ain't so, Joe. He's made some new stuff recently, so why aren't they playing that? Does it not fit the format? Oh well.

Plans were made for my parents and my wife and I to have a postponed celebratory dinner occur this previous Tuesday. It happened, but not without more personal annoyance with how my body wants to sleep lately. I had more written here but that's the gist of it.

Songs. The arcade trip this week was at ...

  13. LB log - 2017 Week 04

Friday. It is done. I'm a few thousand lighter and now have the thirty year yoke on my shoulders. It only took this long for me to finally make this bold step into a milestone which my parents did ten years earlier in their lives than I am now. Success. I arranged to have today off from work, and that has definitely shown to pay off. I barely slept after getting home from work, and spent at least an hour in bed fidgeting and scratching in restlessness until I gave up and got about the rest of my ...

  14. LB log - 2017 Week 03

Why did she so desperately need to know who set the date? Really? Surely I wouldn't have done something like set a date without asking them when a good time would be, if I were to have a choice. She should realize that, right? And let's say I did do that - ultimately, so what? So the date is bad and it gets rescheduled just as it has been. Great. Now what? What does knowing help here?

Safety meetings bring out great feelings in the job, certainly none which I already carry on my head ...

  15. LB log - 2017 Week 02

Hey you. Thanks for the help. Really. Just having normal work days come and go as they have been would have been too much to ask for today, yes, I see that now. Thank you so very much. Now I have the rest of the day to look forward to with an attempt at sleeping between it. Now I have to have her be all over concerned because I won't be able to sugar coat it and smile beyond it. Thanks. Really. It's all that I wanted.

Hey you. If the file has something you can't use, then don't use ...
