On my third day off for this holiday weekend, I applied for a trademark. The Patentn Office makes it clear in no uncertain terms that the process for approval requires several months and has many ways in which the entire process could be rejected, with no hope for appeal or refund of the filing fee (weighing in at a healthy $300). It needs to be done, though, and I'm fairly certain that I've followed the instructions as indicated and have something in mind which is unique and not in conflict with something that currently exists and is protected. I also made a point to get the full preliminary table working with links in their appropriate spots, and that all came together rather quickly. I think the best course of action is to continue working as I have been until I know what the future holds for the trademark before I put out content which gets it noticed.

I also used the prolonged time to have another night of socializing, as schedules were fortunate enough to allow it. At the arcade visit, one of the machines I decided to put some time into was Sinistar, and after spending a good twenty minutes or so with it, I have to ask - how the hell does anyone get anywhere in this game? Once Sinistar is alive and you're out of bombs, you might as well just let the lives tick out and start over, right? How is it possible to spend the time to farm more mines when that thing can swarm on you at any moment? I will say that the concept of the original machine being a sit-down cockpit cabinet is something which is lost when playing it on MAME or otherwise.

Songs. I'm pretty pleased with home sessions this week, as I've had several solid increases within it. Music To Your Head was the only play that was awful, but I think that's pretty easy to slip away from keeping pace if you just let the fingers glide on the scales just that little hair too loosely. Sinobuz wasn't too eventful in light of another player there to take turns with, and the other aforementioned factor cuts into that time as well. But, still, at least I broke a funk in a way by being able to slop through Ghost Revival A14 with a C. Hey, it was a clear; that's better than what I can say for some 11s that I've played there the last few weeks.
