One of the things I forgot to mention in last week's haul was a new box fan which didn't come with a power cord. It uses the standard double-round AC input like that which we all know from various Playstation systems and the like, and despite the shape working, I still had to use a drill to whittle away some of the plastic casing inside the connection on the fan itself to get the power cord to actually fit. The fan works very well with that all in place, I'll give it that much. Alas, that fan is not nearly enough to handle what is now knownt to be a leak of condensation and water from the AC unit in the house. This is the source of the problem all along. I later purchased a specific "air mover" to try to dry the water out, but putting that down there continuously throughout the day and having towels laid out everywhere to absorb everything and be dried by the fan hasn't helped the situation very much, and the wet spots on the carpeting around the area still persist. I should be having service people come in today or sometime soon to hopefully get this resolved. Well, it will be resolved, I believe, with the only question being how much I have to repair or replace in the process. Saturday Update - the question is resolved. Add another $2400 to this week's haul for a new AC coil and external unit to match with it.

While taking a trailer between locations on work Saturday evening into Sunday morning, I had a car run directly into the rear. I was fine, the rig was fine, the other driver's car was very much not fine. Considering that I still managed to get jolted forward from the impact while going a steady 60 MPH on the Interstate shows that he had to have been running at a very high speed.

Songs have felt pretty poor this week. Few records and some really bad plays. I finally get a clear on Kiseki and get -5% off of record in doing so. Arcade session wasn't much better, what with failing a few 10s just to rub salt in the wounds. Meanwhile, I did have to jump through a few hoops and actually wait for part of a day for the selection to become available on the online registration (due to the time zone difference), but I did finally get my Nesica card registered and set up within the online app related to the game. Now I can see how much additional content is out there, hopefuly enough for which playing the game continuously is justified. Right off the bat I can see extensive win/loss records to be kept and some HUD options to tweak, so I think the potential exists for this all to make for the game to be genuinely worth playing in the future.
