Note to self. Next time you suspect of some kind of traffic incident like that, continue north to the next major intersection and go from there. I did not need to spend 50 minutes at that intersection today.

With no other obligations pending on the days off, I indulged in playing a video game for a fair amount of time in the previous break. I have 11 hours logged on Dragon Quest 11, and that's with minimal downtime of me walking away to tend to something while letting it idle. I've read reports of an average initial clear time being 50 hours, so I do wonder how much that holds true for me. I am taking my time to try to read as much of the side dialogues as possible, so I think I will extend beyond that mark. Otherwise,everything in the game rolls out pretty smoothly so it's pretty easy to get sucked into a long string of it, and there's also frequent break points to allow you to pace things out if necessary. Overall, I think the game is shaping up to be rather good but not quite at a high level of Excellent which I would give to other games in the series. I'll say more about it when I'm done.

This is why I haven't had much progress on the side project, but that's still mostly in a holding pattern until the filings are approved. Work continues on it in the background all the same, just a bit more slowly than the last few weeks. On the subject of side projects, my Instagram venture is going over decently well enough. New followers trickle in every now and then, and I have it set up to have the content mirrored on a few other social sites. Might as well do it. It does make the job have a new interesting twist, but I definitely have to keep a restraint on how much hunting I do. It doesn't take too much to have time slip away.

I'm pleased with song sessions this week. Many new records to be seen, but most of them are of very small quantities. This is fine, though - I'd rather have the consistency and inch beyond it than the alternative. Not too many bad plays at home either. Arcade trip wasn't too spectacular, but playing the game on Free Mode definitely helps keeps my spirits in check rather than playing each song with the fear of having something stupid happen to fail a chart and lose the credit.
