I was directly asked if I wanted to work an extra day this week. Usually they don't bother to do so. It caught me off guard, and I quickly muttered out a "not particularly" in response. It wasn't pressed, but his expression in response was enough to show disappointment. I honestly shouldn't feel as bad about it as I did, and it took a while for me to reconcile with it. I already do give up an average 65 hours of my week for them. That really should be enough.

I built another PC this weekend. It's been about five years since the last time. Her machine seems to be collapsing in some limited aspects at a rapid rate lately, so it does seem like the time was indeed right for it to happen. I would have saved myself a lot of aggravation if I managed to pull away both side panels to reveal the other side and see where the hard drives would go, as well as all the screws which came with the case - screws which would have fit much better than those which I were trying to use to affix the motherboard to the case and only came to realize were too large after a good half hour of struggling. It's always a nerve wracking experience, but ultimately it did come together and properly function. It really is a rather simple process as long as you know what to do. This particular motherboard did have a wifi receiver built into it, so hopefully she finds that adequate for the internet connection on it. I hope the onboard audio is sufficient as well, though arrangements can be made if a card transfer is required. While I'm still looking forward to inheriting her current machine, I can't help but be concerned that it still will function well by the time I get around to using it. Hopefully the failure of the internet adapter and powered USB hub was the extent of malady that will come to it for the near future at least.

Songs. Arcade session was good. I finally came across something in one of the redemption games and had to pump $20 just to get the damned thing, but I got it, so that'll make for a good Christmas exchange for when I see him next. I was able to clear Murmur Twins A14 there, and from the looks of subsequently trying it today at home, it appears that I haven't cleared it yet on this particular sim player. I only have two attempts recorded though. Anyway, I'm pretty sure I ended at 78% with it at the arcade before so for that reason and in light of how previous weeks have gone, I was quite happy to have that attained. Home sessions don't generally look too impressive, but honestly most of it wasn't too terrible, particularly with how many new records this week came with being less sloppy on the miss counts.
