So that's been some fun we've had yesterday with Malwarebytes, eh? That's just splendid. Thankfully I didn't lose much of anything, but man, this old laptop is not built to handle problems like that. It's thanks to that incident that I forgot to have this post ready for last night. Oh well. I was wondering why my song block looked longer than normal.

An oil change was due. I could tell the engine was running a bit rougher lately, so I take a moment before work on the last day of the week and pull the stick out, and it's dry. No oil line is on it at all. That exlains that, then. I call my parents to make arrangements for me to visit after work in the morning. I get everything set up for the procedure to go and eventually Dad wakes up and we get to work. On a few previous oil changes we have had difficulty in removing the filter so we know to only tighten it by hand so that it should be also removable by hand. This time it was not. At all. After trying every trick, the only thing we could do was remove the surrounding canopy from the undercarriage so that there was enough room for an entire wrench to wrap around the filter so that it could be screwed off, and by this point it had already begun to leak from the amount of pressure applied to it. That is how a simple oil change ended up taking two hours to do.

Other news. Finally a retweet, and that brought a fair amount of attention immediately afterward. It was rather exciting to come home to see "18 new notifications" as opposed to one or none. Hopefully things continue to gain momentum there, though there are still some days now where I don't have any action over a full day. Slow going.

Songs. Cannon Ballers is in the arcade, and does it feel very nice. The sound mix is different from previous games, so maybe in the future I might use the VEFX to put the balance in a more even setting. I didn't try using the overhead cam yet, and I'm curious to see how it works on Double. One interesting item is that the dan courses are open to 10 right from the start instead of 8, so I was able to pass 9 Dan pretty much right off the bat. I played 8 first just to see what would come up, and I was surprised to see Possession start things off. I think Copula is still where I have had the most trouble clearing 9. This time wasn't too bad either - Xephyr hurt me the most but I don't think I was in imminent danger of failure at any point.
