Upon coming home from retail work yesterday, I was told that the kitchen sink had started a slight leak. It was caught in time before there was extensive damage to the cabinet, thankfully. I asked my mother-in-law to take a picture of the problematic part of the pipework so that she could go to the hardware store and use that visual cue to help find a proper replacement, so that I could install it when I woke up today. It wasn't done, and I had to make two trips to the store - one to get the drain fixture, and a second to buy some silicon sealant because I forgot to do so initially. It was a definite struggle to remove the old fixture, and putting the new fixture on took some time to coordinate getting the main washer properly in the threading, but overall the project didn't take much more than an hour and seems to have patched up the leak. I did add some silicone sealant in areas which didn't have any before, so I hope it doesn't make things too difficult if I have to undertake this operation again, but until then I think I can take some solace in having performed a plumbing task to completion with minimal incident, which is something that I haven't specifically done before.

I doubt I'll have much of any days better than this, in terms of having new high score entries. By the fourth song I knew I felt generally better in playing, but I didn't expect to have continuous strong plays of everything I'd encounter for the entire session. Yoru no Sunglass is all last-measure bullshit and I have no idea if I can ever clear it. I know that Rainbow Flyer has a lot of scales to break on Random but that's still an extraordinary increase, or at least more than what I'd expect. Otherwise there really was no terrible play of any song today at all. I Fight Me has a lot of nice chords which get lost on Random, so my dip there is no surprise. Most everything else that wasn't an actual increase was close enough regardless. Here's hoping that tomorrow doesn't totally suck.
