Today we decided to buy some take-out food (burritos) to observe Mother's Day, as none of us have a particularly strong desire to dine out. I also decided to go to Baker's Square to get a pie for today's dessert. On the way out, I drove past a main local intersection where there was a car stalled in the turn lane going the opposite direction of how I was heading out to get the food. The resultant line from the traffic jam stretched for at least half of a mile from the point. To accomodate, I managed to find a way to snake through the side streets to go to both restaurants and return home. The total time to get everything was probably between thirty and forty minutes, but it likely would have taken half as much of that longer had I taken the normal main roads. I was only scheduled to work half of a day at the retail job today, and nobody even asked if I could stay longer. I would have declined regardless, but I'm surprised that they didn't even ask.
Time for Extra Mode.
I would have been satisfied with today's session even without the new clear of Astral Voyage - which was a border clear, by the way, as I got sunk by the few measures before the coaster of an ending and climbed back to 80% with the final note. Otherwise, no complaints from me about much of anything. Worst dip of the day came with the second song, and that chart is much more dense than what LR2 gave, to the point where Random obliterates it. Somewhat surprised by the depression in Chain of Pain but I think I wasn't able to hack how the ending climax run on the left hand got shifted. Pretty happy with the variety of songs which came up today as well. I need to not play Free style the next few times it comes up; I enjoy playing it and like that it's an older song which is difficult, but it has been frequently enough in the last few days.
