At least in the very early stages at the default difficulty, Diablo 3 is rather docile and easy to play with a single hand while taking shots of whisky through the night. What I didn't expect was how terrible the script and voice acting would be in the game. I'm curious if any reviews will pick up on that. Speaking of reviews, the reviews of Akai Katana have been rolling in and while there have been a few people who actually did rate the game well, there's still just as many reviews which have the same baseless and ignorant complaints which are levied against all other shooters. I'm considering posting the highlights in the Cave thread but I probably won't even bother because there's nothing particularly new about the circumstance. I finally received a response and approval for my 2012 Form 8849 series. While an explanation will never be given, I do have to wonder why I had to pester them for so many days just to get that to happen. The test was fundamentally unchanged from the 2011 series (and I reused some dated documents which I made for the 2011 set for the 2012 tests) so, having that approved set in hand I knew that my data should have been valid on the first attempt, which is was. So why did it take this much pestering on my part to get the approval? Oh well.

Playing fan songs on EX mode in this program can be such a pain in the ass. I'm encountering more songs with the repeated sample error, which doesn't prevent me from playing the song but makes the task rather unenjoyable. Then with that Be Magical song I had a new occurrence of a vocal echo because part of the vocal track got mapped to a key, which I happened to hit a hair late, and the same track is played in the background, so that causes a terrible stadium echo effect which also magnifies the volume. There was a stretch of like eight songs in the BOF 2008 roster which wouldn't load. I also had a few instances where the audio sound files from one song were loaded and played into the subsequent song which I chose, leading to another bizarre set of sounds which kills the enjoyment of playing the song. Regardless, if I encounter problematic songs in the future after I'm done playing new charts, I can just as easily skip those songs when they come up, if I don't want to put up with the bullshit.
