I found a few things at a flea on Sunday, I've just been too lazy to capture their images and post.
In the meantime, this just happened.

A pair of teenage boys were coming into the store and dragging their bikes with them.
"I'm sorry, you can't bring them in here. This is a store, not a garage."
I hear one of the boys mumble something and then the other one said, "This FUCKING guy, I'm not getting my fucking bike stolen".
They then attempted to wedge their bikes in the area between the two entry doors.
"Guys, you can't do that, it's a safety hazard". More cursing from them. I should mention that I had a fella in here with his two under age 5 kids. I can not stand how it's become acceptable for people to act like they're on an episode of Jerry Springer 24/7.
So they put the bikes outside, and walk in with a couple of trade ins. (only one of them had trades, so it seems reasonable that the other one could wait with the bikes, doesn't it?).
I say, "You can take your trades elsewhere. I don't have to put up with children cursing me out and being disrespectful."
"I didn't say anything! I didn't curse you out!"
"You didn't"? You didn't say 'This effing guy'? I'm a liar on top of whatever else you said?"
"No..."
"If you are worried about your bike getting stolen, buy a lock. Now you can either apologize for being so rude, or you can go elsewhere."
"I'm sorry."
"Thank you. You're too old to be going around like a three year old and throwing a tantrum because you can't get your way. Be an adult, not a baby."
From then on, you'd think the kid was in church. All "yes, sir" "please, sir" "thank you, sir".
So there are some kids who do know their manners, but maybe they just need to be reminded of them.
But, I won't be surprised to find our windows covered in egg tomorrow morning.

This story makes me a little happy, but only if there aren't eggs tomorrow.

No eggs! But as they say, real life doesn't get to put up a "The End" sign and have everything finish on an upbeat.
A little while later, the kid came back and said the game he bought didn't work. I grabbed another copy of the game and put it into our system to test it before he took it home. Everything worked fine, so off he went.
I then tested the copy he returned. It worked fine as well. RED FLAG!
A half hour goes by, the kid comes back and says this one doesn't work either. I popped it in the 360 and of course it worked fine.
I told him if he didn't want the game, to just say so. I will allow you to switch it out for something else. (It's not our policy to do that, but if people come back the same day, I'm not going to be a dick about it, and it saves on a lot of This Doesn't Work bullshit.) He didn't want to switch, he wanted cash back. Which we don't do on used products.
"Well you don't have the game I want, that's why I bought this." (he wanted CoD Black Ops but got Gears 3 instead).
"I didn't tell you to buy Gears, you chose to. I will give you full credit on a gift card. I get Black Ops in regularly. I will put one aside for you."
"...ok."
I thought that would be the end of it.
NOPE!

A few hours later a guy walks in and said, "My son was in here earlier and you sold him a game that didn't work, and he said that you were very rude about it."
I about plotzed.
"Yes, I was very rude. I was very rude after he tried to bring his bike in here and then started cursing me out when I told him he couldn't. I'm a grown man, I'm not going to put up with a kid telling me fuck this and fuck that."
"Oh, well, he knows better than that. I've told him he needs to lock up his bike and I promise that he will be reprimanded for acting that way; BUT..."
He went on and on about how I take advantage of kids and I rip them off. Blah blah blah.
I told him, "First, I didn't ask your son to walk in here. Second, I didn't force him to buy a game. Third, I tested both the games and they worked fine. I tell you what, if you want to bring his system over here, I will hook it up and test the game on it. If it really doesn't work, not only will I give you back the cost of the game, I will give you $20 out of my pocket for your trouble."
"I'm not going to unhook his system, you just need to give him back his money."
"I'm not going to do that."
"Then you just lost a customer! We will never shop here again."
"Let's be honest, you wouldn't be shopping here again anyway, and frankly, I don't want customers like you to begin with."
"I'm going to call the Better Business Bureau and you can bet that word will get around about how you take advantage of little kids!"
"Have a nice day."

So yeah, it wasn't the happy ending I thought it would be.
p.s. I got a copy of Black Ops in about a half hour later.

I just got a letter from the Better Business Bureau. What an asshole.
