Songs are played in highest 14key difficulty without chart structure modifiers.

Go.

Read Air - 13* - 1565 notes
EX% & Rank: 41.34 D

The chart is merely extremely difficult rather than an A-typical shitstorm of nonsense which most over-12s devolve into; unfortunately the song itself strikes me as rather haphazard in structure. Not very impressed.

Infinite echo. Next.

Two segregated parts combine into one song and make something less in the process. The more sedate parts of the song are OK enough (for what it is), but the rapidfire note storm comes around and features very thin and high pitched streams which served to only annoy me. A key change and emphasis of build up leading to that kind of sound as a climax might have worked but to fluctuate between the two concepts throughout the song ruins it entirely.

sandstorm - 10* - 1309 notes
EX% & Rank: 55.80 B
EX.p/f: 1461.P

No, it's not the Sandstorm you're thinking about. A heavy Schranz influence here. Strange chart that only throws the most difficult part of it towards the beginning, then eases up with docile hold note phrases. Melody instrumentation seems lame to me as well.

sky line - 11* - 1073 notes
EX% & Rank: 54.98 C
EX.p/f: 1180.F
Judgment: 426.328.251.2.101
Combo: 140

LunarBeat allows volume adjustment on an individual song basis. Something about this song is so loud that I had to turn the volume down to 20% of master in order to play it without giving me a headache, so I hope it's for that reason that this sounded very flat to me. Minutes after playing it I'm struggling to remember much of anything about it besides the hold notes in the second half and the chord jack last measure.

starlight cave - 12* - 997 notes
EX% & Rank: 43.78 D
EX.p/f: 873.F
Judgment: 278.317.275.7.240
Combo: 43

I didn't expect to encounter a scratch heavy song here. Beginning fade in and ending fade out resonate nicely but the scratching action all uses the singular same scratch noise, which I find to not fit very well with the theme of the song as given by the background sound. I think that making the scratch parts tweak the ambient noise already present would have worked much better, or at least offer some kind of different noises to be played in any amount.

I have difficulty in keeping my eyes focused while playing today, and most of this felt forced. That's all for now. More tomorrow.
