After I'm done playing songs today I walk past the washer and dryer in the basement and notice the sound of water running down the sump pump which is nearby. The water sump pump at the other side of the basement isn't running. Is it raining outside? I get upstairs and it's dry. I look around the house and there's no shower running, no toilet flushing, no sink running. Strange. Return downstairs, feel the pipe that's closest to where the noise seems to be coming from. The pipe is humming and warm. Call the parents to see if they have any clues. After ten minutes and questions answered, it's determined that my grinder sump pump is stuck on and needs to be replaced. Until that happens tomorrow, we need to keep the device unplugged and only run it when we are going to need the drainage processed. The new device should run about $400. Awesome. Good thing I have nothing else earmarked for that amount.

Meanwhile, in songs today, I made it to the kana titles and was about to play that accursed パーティーのはじまりだ! song, but then I realized that in the future, if it ever came up in random selection, I would instantly skip it out of spite. I have a thousand other choices waiting for me once I do so. So congratulations to this song for being one of the few which I outright refuse to play. It's rare company.
