I wasn't informed of it before hand, but at work I came to discover that today is the National "Old People Drive Worse Than They Usually Do" day. I'm working with a coworker, and we're pulling a line out from the last corral to go to the end. I see a gold Cadillac inching backwards. I put up my arm to stop the coworker from moving, and he does. We have the carts out in the road by that point, though. The car still approaches. I yell "stop" repeatedly and in increasing volume. She meets the line of carts with the rear of her car. She doesn't move forward again until the parking space which she wanted was vacated.
Later on, we're in another portion of the lot and transitioning from one corral to another. An old woman pulls out from a spot next to the corral and curves directly into our path. I pull the carts away and yell for her to stop. "Oh, sorry, I never saw you!" she says after pulling her window down. I say it's OK and wave, and off she goes.
Hours after that, I'm standing at one of the entrances after bringing some carts in, and I hear the familiar plastic puncturing pop sound which comes from an accident. I turn to my right and see an elderly woman who was trying to pull her car out of the handicap spot and clipped the turn too early, which caused her driver's side bumper to collide fully with the concrete sign post in front of her and raise the car up a few inches from the ground. She repositioned the car and stepped out to visually verify that it was still magically intact. I guess one benefit of having a car with a pure white coat is that dents are less distinguishable, at least from a distance.
Traffic was a nightmare like this all day, and all the while, important corporate people were on a visit to the store today and holding Very Important Discussions, I presume.
It's either this or talk about tax forms, people. Or D3. No winners anywhere.
Songs. Can't get much worse of an opening song than that, but I've never played Golden Horn well to begin with so it's just as well to have been hurt badly with this play of it. But things more or less improved right from there. Finally cleared Something Wonderful, though the game tried to rob me of it by putting my pass rate from 88% to 80% with the last chord. LunarBeat does not permit you to miss scratch chords. Toss in a few actual increases and I find little to complain about. Plus today marks one of the only days in my memory, at least recent memory, in which I had a play whose net result was a difference of 0 EX points. Get Out.
Extra Mode.
