Tales from the Docside

The Rain in Tupelo Ln Flows Mainly to the Drain.

I just ran 2½ miles in about 25 mins in hard rain. I need a weatherproof stopwatch.

I learned three things, today:

One. I can run 2½ miles non-stop, again.
Two. What it means for a storm drain to be at full capacity. Tupelo Ln is a ¼ mile road, downhill, running 2-3" deep, traveling faster than I could, with one drain. It's a small, residential, untrafficked road, so I ran in the road (against traffic, of course), shoes pounding, ankle deep in water, and when I reached the end? The drain was not full.
Three. A swollen creek and 1 wake board can entertain up to 8 children.

ShinMyk told me about that business, saying he was going to get washed away on the way home.
