NBA 2K3 Marketing Campaign Takes Off
It's an all new season as Sega takes b-ball fans back to the hardwood with the recent release of Sega Sports NBA 2K3 available on all major platforms. Sega has kicked off a $10 million dollar marketing campaign in order to ensure that everyone, casual and hardcore sports fans alike get to know the deal with the new installment.
Among one of its commercial elements includes a 30-second television spot showcasing "the true spirit of the sport" featuring key athletes and their moves including: dunks from Vince Carter, forward for Toronto Raptors; three point shots from Gary Payton, guard for the Seattle Supersonics; and tenacious defense from Ben Wallace, forward for the Detroit Pistons.
The commercial officially airs today and will continue on both
broadcast and cable networks including CBS, ESPN, MTV and others. Of course, there's plenty of marketing elsewhere in print and cable broadcast networks...kaboom!

It's about time Sega made people more aware of their products. NBA2k3 is a great starting point. Now if Sega would emphasis that the game includes online play, more player stats than the competition and more screen shots of the game in action, they can take the sales crown which NBA2k3 rightfully deserves.
