Yep. Definitely my #1 weird tale -- it was like a combination of Twin Peaks and Deliverance. Very sad, though.Quote:

I've seen a few. The most recent dead guy was some wacko who jumped from the 7th floor of the building where I work and fell all the way down the atrium and went *splat* in the lobby, right on top of one of the fake bamboo trees there. I saw him minutes after it happened. The cops came, but the messed up thing was that they couldn't move the body until the medical examininer arrived to pronounce him dead, which took several hours. So, until then, the cops covered him with a sheet and taped off the area. Wacky.
And, of course, I've been to a few funerals. But the whole concept of wakes and wheeling out a dead body for everyone to stare at seems kinda sick and morbid to me. I'd rather my last memory of the person to be them alive, not sitting dead in some box.
Why do dead people stink so fast? I leave food out for longer than that, and it's still tolerable.Quote:

Only 2. My Grandma and my GF's Grandpa. I'm no fun.
Did you kill them both at the same time?
Prince Planet: Great Story.
Nick: Yes.

me and a friend found a dead body once when i was about 6 years old.
i dont remember much. we thought he was just a homeless guy who was asleep, so we threw a few rocks at him to try to wake him up. after awhile he didnt, and my friend (he was older) thought that he might be dead. i told my dad and he called the police.
when the cops came i pointed to where the body was. and thats about it. i never found out what happened to him.
so... yeah.
I've seen a number of dead and dying relatives in hospitals and funerals. But never freshly dead.
I'm not quite certain how anybody can go any length of time in life without going to a funeral or two as I've read in this thread.
I have a cop buddy who sees dead people all the time. Mostly unattended natural deaths of the elderly in their homes (apparently lots of people die alone and lonely). Plus a number a suicides, only a few actual murders, and some accidental deaths (mostly vehicular). And I hear the gory details of each one.
