Everyone knows that millions of years from now the sun will grow a dark-reddish color and expand, engulfing the earth and most(if not all) of the other planets in it's solar system - immediately incinerating them into nothing before collapsing upon itself and becoming first a Red Dwarf, and later a black hole with a gravitational pull so great that nothing, not even light, can escape... as eventually happens to all stars of small-to-mid range.
I mean, Duh.
actually it won't likely engulf the earth - it'll stop just shy of it. Fortuneately for us, Saturns Moon Triton has all the gasses of a primordial Earth and will be nice and temprate by that time. Yay!
Also - it requires a star of at least 20 solar masses to create a black hole - the sun will become a useless brown-dwarf star after briefly becomeing a red giant. Brown-dwarves are about as pathetic as they sound - small and reletively heat/lightless.
