Okay kiddies, GameCube has, up until now, outsold the Xbox consistently with its limited line-up -- now that Sunshine, Star Fox, Animal Crossing, Resident Evil 0 and Metroid are all available, do you really expect that something as geeky as Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon and Unreal (ALL ON THE FU**ING PC) are going to upset the GameCube sales in the least? Oh Hell no.

Um... MarkRyan, I'm affraid you've got your Gamecubes mixed up with your Xbox :p It's Xbox that has been outselling GC since release. Unless you're talking about Europe, which XB just now overtook GC.

Dunno where these countless sales reports are MarkRyan - the only stuff I've seen says that the Xbox is outselling the GC.
I don't see why the magazines think Xbox Live will do so amazing, sure its cool and all. But not enough people have Broadband yet. Sure in the future that will change, but right now its the high minority. But people who play those games will most likley already have Broadband anyways.
I think the Cube will do better just based on the Kid Factor. More games that appeal to kids, and thats what kids want these days is video games. So I say cube.
I think my Gok will sell buttloads.
Anyone who matters has broadband. Only poor people and hicks don't have it, and they don't count. 50% of the US XB installed base has BB, and likely the same % of gamers (not yet having bought XB) hip to playing games online at all, have it too. Broadband is not a limiting factor. Unless you use AOL BB. In which case, fuck you and die.

And amazingly I have both BB and XBL. See! Poor people have no excuse now! Just hicks... poor little hicks... with their freckles and freakish orange hair...
