Noise, the developers behind the Custom Robo series, a very popular group of robot simulation games on the Nintendo 64 and Gameboy Advance, has revealed on their new website that they are working on a new game for the GameCube.
Due out sometime in 2003, no additional information was given except that it would fit into the genre of "Robot Action/RPG," a moniker that is certainly befitting of their previous efforts.
According to the update, the new title will be released in Japan, North America, and Europe during the Summer of 2003. The two Custom Robo games released on the N64 in Japan were never localized for the domestic market, even though they both sold well in their homeland.
Regardless of whether it is a new installment in the series, a new action/RPG for the GameCube, particularly from Marigul-subsidiary Noise, should elicit more than a little anticipation. We'll have a follow-up when the developer reveals more information.
