Shenmue II gets a perfect score... and people on this forum are bitching... and if it got a 6.0 or 7.0 people would be bitching...
Shenmue 2 kicks assz0rz.
I love Shenmue II. That wasn't the point.
Also, the games I listed have scores of 10 at gamers.com which pulls together scores from all Ziff-Davis publications plus reviews written specifically for the web page, so Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 may not have gotten a 10 in EGM, but if you go to gamers.com and look at the score, the ps2 version got a 10 and the review was written by John Davison of U.S PlayStation Magazine.

Numerical scores for games are retarded to begin with. If reviews were detailed and concise, and gave an accurate impression of the qualities of games, then there would be no need for scores.
I especially hate it when a a game gets a score of, for example, 8.3. I'm so sure this game is 0.1 better than the games that got 8.2 and 0.3 worse than an 8.6.
If reviewers feel compelled to give the game a rating, then I would prefer a simple one word description at the end of the review, like 'Garbage,' 'Mediocre,' 'Average,' 'Good,' 'Great,' or 'Masterpiece.'
I haven't played Metroid Prime yet, so I can't really question their review since they've tried it and I haven't...
I don't belive in score reviews, but I guess everybody could guess that by now.
take that away and we'll see just how good of a reviewer they are.
Yeah. We have a magazine that doesn't have any scores whatsoever. That should sell like Johnny cakes!!
