I live about a long jump from prometheus and it will be a "long" time before we get broadband at my house which makes me cry. I was considering running a very long piece of cat 5 cable from my girlfriends cable modem to my house just to play on live.

Regardless I think going BB only is the best thing microsoft has going for it. It would piss me off if my game of UC or Mechassault was crippled by some guy running on a crappy 56k connection.

They were sold out of UC, but damned if I was going to come home empty-handed. So, I picked up MechAssault. Chaotic, mostly brainless, but extremely fun. Gamertag is the same as TNL username -- give me a shout.

Yeah, I started it, but no skin off my nose. A thread's a thread..

I decided to splurge my ass off today and impulse purchase this and Live. Very nice so far, although things seem to be lacking from a defensive end thanks to the huge auto-aim. I've also tried sniping across maps, but missiles blow up after a short distance. Feh to that.

Anyone's on, look for me as Hotsuma. I'm probably blind here, but how do you add people to your friends list? Can you only find them in-game and add, or is there any other way?

This game is a kick ass online game. It just plays great and there are so many tactics to boot it really doesnt matter which mech you are because you can always win, except for maybe elemental. My only gripe is that you have to go back to the live menu every time a matchis over which takes out any possibility of staying with a clan for team battles. Other than that this game is awesome. Live it and love it.

Mech, you can add friends in the dashboard of XBox live where you set up your account for the first time. Its under the friends option.
