sleeveboy: I agree with you wholeheartedly. Add Tobal to your list, though. A well-conceived Tobal 3 for the PS2 (preferably with a release in Western territories) would be great.

If you look at it that way, this game couldn't be more genius.Quote:

At least in japan. And I suspect there is a scary large percentage of the population here that will buy it for uh, reasons unrelated to gameplay.
As for me, this is possibly the stupidest thing I've seen in some time. This is the same company that brought me Vagrant Story?
Amen to that.Quote:

Thank you,

Yeah, about the time Auron told Tidus "Sin is your father!" I really stopped taking the plot to FFX seriously at all. VII was alright and IX was a good throwback to the old FFs, but VIII and X with their faux almost-teenybopperish romance/drama have really soured me on the series in general. Ah well...plenty of other good RPGs and games to take my time up anyway :)
How about Yuna May Cry ??Quote:

If it plays half as good as DMC I will be quite satisfied.Quote:

Hmm...
I loved FFX.
The story, the designs, atmoshpere, and the battle system was one of my faves in recent memory.
Upon hearing that X-2 was in development, I was estatic (as many of you may remember the wave of "*dead*" around e3 time) and I simply couldn't wait for more info on it.
First we got that poster with Yuna in the wonky outfit and the dual-guns.
*excitement level: skeptical*
Then they released the news about how the battle system, sphere grid, and over world were all changed.
Those were some of my favorite parts of FFX, so hearing that I was a little dissapointed...
*excitement level: skeptical, with a bit of animosity*
Then they released the pictures of Rikku, and announced that "you can switch out your costumes during battle!" to change classes.
At hearing this my hope had sunk to an all new low. I was really hurting, and any intrest I had in the game was nearly gone.
*excitement level: in the negatives, wondering where all the fan service came from*
So now, I see this three page thread and decided to pop-in and see what all the fuss was about.
Hmm...bitching, moaning, the snes FF's are the best, ff7 rules all, ff8 sucks, etc...
That's all the stuff I'd expect from TNL (or just about any other forum), but a wierd thing happened.
The more I hear you guys bitch about FFX-2...the more I want it.
Thanks for being such a bunch of jaded, "hardcore" gamers guys, you've let me reflect on myself and get some of my FFX excitement back!
*excitement level: still skeptical, but going to try my hardest not to judge the game before I play it*
Kidnemo posted more than a single sentence?!
*dead*
P.S. I still want to give the game a shot, and you're all a bunch of stinky assholes. :p
That just tells you how much I'm anticipating a new FF... :DQuote:

Me too. I thought there were some bad spots in FFX, like the laughing scene Mode7 spoke of. That scene made me embarassed of the fact that I was playing it. But, overall, FFX was a wonderful experience for me. It was gorgeous, interesting, and it played well (it's freaking turn based! It had better play well!).
Even with all of this weirdness abounding, I'm still excited about this.
And an airship turning into a robot is freaking cool! You suck if you think otherwise.
NO IT IS TEH SUX CUZ ITS NOT ON THE SNES!11Quote:
